Ed Greenwood

ED GREENWOOD is a Canadian writer, game designer, voice actor, and librarian best known for creating The Forgotten Realms® fantasy world, starting at age six; he still works on the Realms every day, more than fifty years later, but over those years has created or co-created dozens of other settings, such as Stormtalons and Mornmist, and contributed to the fantasy settings of others, including Oz and Middle Earth.

Ed’s 400-plus books have sold over 40 million copies worldwide and been translated into over 40 languages. Ed was elected to the Academy of Adventure Gaming Art & Design Hall of Fame in 2003, and has won multiple ENNIE, Origins, and other awards. He has judged the World Fantasy Awards and the Sunburst Awards, hosted radio shows, acted onstage, explored caves, jousted, and been Santa Claus—but not all on the same day. He is likely the only Canadian to have scripted comic books for multiple companies and appeared as himself in the pages of comic books published by several imprints.

He shares a house in the Ontario countryside with over 300,000 books. Not counting the secret bookroom. Follow Ed on Twitter @TheEdVerse for daily doggerel and ongoing Lord Wolf snark fiction.

Baron's Blades

The Baron’s long-estranged cousin wants to reconcile…or does he?

He sent word from Harkeep, the country castle of the wealthy Harlvar family, that he’s there for a month and would love to see the Baron, but when the Baron sent an acceptance (and to expect his arrival on a certain date) back by envoy…the envoy never returned.

So the Baron asks you, his trusted Blades, to hasten to Harkeep and find out the situation there.

Is it a trap for the Baron of Hawkhill? Is the whole thing a ruse, and there’s no cousin there at all? Has something gone horribly wrong at Harkeep? Or did the envoy’s horse just go lame?

You all suspect something’s gone wrong, but there’s only one way to find out…

[The Baron’s Blades character sheets will be provided. New D&D players welcome.]
